Adobo Recipe

Adobo Filipino FoodAdobo is usually made with either pork or chicken, or a combination of both. It is cooked in soy sauce, vinegar, crushed garlic and pepper.

Ingredients:

  • 1 kilo Pork/Chicken
  • 1 Garlic, minced
  • 1/2 Onion, diced
  • 4 tablespoons Cooking Oil
  • 1/2 cup Soy Sauce
  • 1 Onion, sliced
  • 1 cup Vinegar
  • 1 can Pineapple
  • 1 Red Bell Pepper
  • 5 Bay Leaves

Instructions:

  • Heat 2 tsp of oil in a big sauce or wok pan, add the garlic and onion and stir the pan.
  • Add the pork/chicken to the pan. Also add the juice form the pineapple can, 1/2 cup soy sauce, 1 cup vinegar, 1 red bell pepper and the bay leaves.
  • Let it boil under a cover until the meat is starting to get brown. (aprx. 30 mins.)
  • Add salt and pepper
  • Add the pineapples on top
  • Serve it together with rice
