Curry Mee Recipe

Curry Mee Malaysian FoodCurry Mee is a curry soup with chicken eaten together with yellow noodles.

Ingredients:

  • 600 grams Cockles, shelled
  • 500 grams Prawns, steamed and shelled
  • 4 pieces Cuttlefish heads, soaked
  • 200 grams fried Soya Bean cubest (tow pok)
  • 200 grams Pig's blood, cooked and cut into cubes
  • 300 grams Chicken, cooked and shredded
  • 500 grams Bean Sprouts, blanched
  • 1kg grated Coconut, mix with 4 litres water and squeeze to get the coconut milk
  • 4 tablespoon Salt
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon Rock Sugar
  • 100 grams Shallots
  • 25 grams Garlic
  • 3 tablespoon Coriander
  • 4 tablespoon Chilli
  • 2 tablespoon Lemon Grass, sliced
  • 10 Pepper Corns
  • 1/2 tablespoon Belacan
  • 200 mililiter Chili Oil

Instructions:

  • Take a stock pot and bring to boil.
  • Add shallots, garlic, coriander, chili, lemon grass, peppercorns and belacan.
  • Now add salt and rock sugar and bring to a low boil. Wait until the sugar dissolves.
  • Add the coconut milk, soya bean cubest and pig's blood.
  • Add the prawn stock and let it boil low until ready.
  • Serve together with yelloe noodles and vermicelli.
