Ikan Bali Recipe

Ikan Bali Indonesian FoodIkan Bali is a fish dish made together with a spice sauce.

Ingredients:

  • 700-900 grams Fish, preferably sea bass or mackerel
  • Oil
  • 2 Onions, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon Sambal Oelek
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dill
  • 1/2 teaspoon Lemon Grass
  • 3 tablespoon Tamarind Juice
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger, grounded
  • 1 teaspoon Brown Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • Salt for taste

Instructions:

  • Cut the fish into serving portions and rub salt all over it.
  • Heat a sauce pan and fry the fish until cooked. When cooked place it on absorbent paper and let it dry.
  • Add oil to the pan. Add onion and wait until it starts to get lightly brown.
  • Add sambal oelek, dill, lemon grass, tamarind juice, ginger, brown sugar and soy sauce.
  • Place the fried fish on plates and put tour the mixture over it. Serve together with rice.
