Kare Kare Recipe

Kare Kare Filipino FoodKare Kare is made from beef, stewed oxtail together with a variety of vegtables and peanutsauce.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 kilo Beef, cut into cubes
  • 1/2 kilo Oxtail, cut to pieces 2 inch long
  • 3 cups Peanut Butter
  • 1/4 cup toasted Rice
  • 1/2 cup Meat, minced
  • 2 Onions, diced
  • 2 Garlic, minced
  • 4 teaspoon Atsuete Oil
  • 4 Eggplant, sliced
  • 1 bundle Bok Choy
  • 1 bundle String Beans
  • 1 Banana Bud
  • 1/2 cup Oil
  • 8 cups of Water

Instructions:

  • Boil the beef and oxtails in a stock pot until cooked
  • Strain the pot from water and put it aside
  • Heat oil and asuete oil in a big pan.
  • Put in garlic and onion and stir until golden brown
  • After this att the beef and oxtails to the pan. Also add toasted rice and peanut butter. Let it boil and simmer for 15 minutes.
  • Add the eggplant, tring beans, banana bud, bok choy. Let it cook for a few minutes
  • Serve it together with minced meat and rice
