Menudo Recipe

Menudo Filipino FoodMenudo is a pork dish mixed together with liver, chorizo and potatoes. in a tomato sauce.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 kilo Pork
  • 1/4 kilo Pork Liver
  • 5 pieces Chorizo
  • 4 Potatoes
  • 4 Carrots
  • 1 Green Bell Pepper
  • 1 Red Bell Pepper
  • 1 cup Peas
  • 1/4 cup Raisins
  • 1 cup Pork Stock
  • 2 teaspoons Fish Sauce
  • 3 teaspoons Oil
  • 1 cup Tomato Sauce
  • 1 Onion, diced
  • 1 Garlic, minced

Instructions:

  • First cut the pork, liver, chorizo and potato in to small pieces
  • Heat cooking oil in a pan.
  • Put in garlic and onion. After this add the pork, liver, chorizo, carrots, potatoes, bell pepper, fish sauce and the pork stock.
  • Cover the pan and let it boil for aprx. 20 mins until the pork is tender
  • Add the peas, raisins and the tomato sauce. Let it boil for around 2 minutes.
  • Add salt and pepper for the taste and server it with rice
