Muc Nhoi Thit Recipe

Muc Nhoi Thit Vietnamese FoodMuc Nhoi Thit is squid stuffed with pork and vegetables and served with rice.


  • 12 Squid
  • 250 grams Pork, minced
  • 2 cloves Garlic, mashed
  • 3 Spring Onions, chopped
  • 4 Black Mushrooms, soaked and dried
  • 2 tablespoon Fish Sauce
  • Salt, Pepper and Sugar for taste
  • 1 Carrot, sliced
  • 30 grams Bamboo, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar Caramel
  • 2 Chicken Stock


  • Take the squid, remove the heads, rinse them well and drain. Take the tenacles and chop them finely.
  • Mix pork and garlic together with the tenacles.
  • Add 1 spring onion and 2 mushrooms (stems romved) to the mixture.
  • Also add 1 tablespoons fish sauce and salt, pepper and sugar for taste.
  • Stuff the mixture into the squid place them in a casserole together with the carrot, bamboo, sugar caramel, chicken stockm and the remaining spring onion, mushroom and fish sauce.
  • Place it in a hot oven and wait for 20 minutes until ready.
  • Serve together with rice.
