Pininyahang Manok Recipe

Nilagang Baka Filipino FoodPininyahang Manok is a chicken course made together with pineapple.


  • 1-3 tablespoons Cooking Oil
  • 1 kilo Chicken, cut to serving pieces
  • 1 Garlic, minced
  • 1 Onion, cut thinly
  • 1 Ginger, cut 1 inch lengths
  • 3 Potatoes, cut into quarter
  • 3 tablespoons Raisins
  • 2 cans Pineaple Chunk
  • 1 Red Bell Pepper, cut into quarter
  • 1 cup Coconut milk
  • Salt and Pepper


  • Put ginger and onion in a pan and stir until it starts to get brown.
  • Add chicken and wait until it is cooked.
  • Add the pineapple juice from the can and potatoes. Wait aprx. 15 minutes until potatoes are cooked.
  • Now add the coconut milk and bell pepper. let it boil 5 minutes.
  • Add the raisins and pineapple chunk.
  • Add salt and pepper for taste.
  • Serve together with rice
