Pochero Recipe

Pochero Filipino FoodPochero can be made with either chicken or pork. It is made together with tomato sauce, bananas and vegetables.


  • 1-2 cooking oil
  • 1 kilo of Chicken or Pork, sliced
  • 2 head of Garlic, crushed
  • 1 Onion, cut thinly sliced
  • 2 Carrots, sliced
  • 3 Potatoes, sliced
  • 1 Green Bell Pepper.
  • 1 Red Bell Pepper.
  • 1/4 Cabbage, sliced
  • 5 Saba Bananas, sliced
  • 500 grams can Tomato Sauce
  • Salt and Pepper


  • Heat oil in a sauce or wok pan
  • Add the saba bananas to the pan. Wait until they get fried and set aside.
  • Now add garlic and onion and stir.
  • Add the chicken/pork and let it boil until it starts to get brown.
  • When chicken is brown you shoul add the tomato sauce and wait another 5 minutes.
  • Add carrots, potatoes, cabbage and red and gren bellpepper
  • Add salt and pepper for taste and add the fried bananas.
  • Serve together with rice.
