Pud Makua Yow Recipe

Pud Makua Yow Thai FoodPud Makua Yow is made with eggplants stir fried together with basil and chili peper.


  • 1 tablespoon Vegetable Oil
  • 1 bunch Thai Basil Leaves
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 2 cloves Garlic, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Fish Sauce
  • 2 Eggplants, sliced
  • 2 Chili Peppers, sliced


  • Heat a wok pan and add oil, chili peppers and garlic. Stir until the garlic turn golden brown.
  • Add eggplant and a cup of water. Cover the pan with a lid and wait until the eggplant is cooked. About 5-6 minutes
  • Add fish sauce and sugar and stir.
  • Add Thai basil and stir quickly to heat the basil. When it retains it color, turn off heat immediately.
  • Serve together with rice.
