Sinigang Na Baboy Recipe

Adobong Sitaw Filipino Food A beef and vegetable soup in a sour tamarind base.


  • 1 kilo Pork
  • 1 Onion, cut thinly sliced
  • 2 Eangkoga, cut to cubes
  • 2 Eggplants, cut to cubes
  • 1 bunch of String Beans, cut 2 inch lengths
  • 2 Tomatoes, cut to quarters
  • 5 Okra, cut 2 inch lengths
  • 2 Radish, cut 2 inch lengths
  • 1 bunch of River Spinach
  • 1 pack Tamarind Powder
  • 3 cups Water
  • Salt and Ginisa Mix


  • Put the pork in a stock pot with water and let it boil until the pork is cooked.
  • Add the onion and the tamarind powder.
  • Add all vegatables except the river spinach and let it boil for 10 minutes.
  • After this you add the river spinach.
  • Add salt and ginisa mix for taste.
  • Serve together with rice
