Tom Yum Recipe

Tom Yum Thai FoodTom Yum is shrimp soup, distinguished by its distinct hot and sour taste.

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups Water
  • 1 cup Shrimp
  • 5 Mushrooms
  • 1 Lime
  • 1 Lemon grass
  • 3 Kaffir Lime Leaves
  • 2 tablespoon Fish Sauce
  • 5 sprigs of Cilantro
  • 2 teaspon of Fish Sauce
  • 3 Chili Peppers

Instructions:

  • Boil the water in a pot. Peel the shrimps and set them aside
  • Cut the lemon grass into 2 inch pieces. Drop the lemon grass in the water and let it boil for 5 minutes.
  • Put kaffir lime leaves, fish sauce and the juice from the lime in the bowl you will serve the soup in.
  • Crush the chili pepper and add it to the bowl as well.
  • Go back to the pot and add the mushrooms. Also add the shrimps and turn of the heat.
  • When the shrimps are ready, pour the soup in bowl and serve.
